I have been married to my wife Karrie for 20 years. She works as the coordinator for Adaptive Recreational Services (ARS) and Kid’s Connection. We have a son (Dylan) together. Dylan is a proud 2017 graduate of Minnesota Valley Lutheran (MVL) and is currently a senior at SDSU. We enjoy spending time together. Our favorite family hobby is traveling and we have had the opportunity of visiting several foreign countries and almost every state.
My 25 years of law enforcement experience includes three law enforcement agencies. I have been involved in providing security and investigative services for the Republican National Convention, several Governor of Minnesota visits and for former President of the United States visits (President George W. Bush). I am currently actively working in Law Enforcement. I proudly hold the position of Police Chief for the New Ulm Police Department.
I received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Concordia University, Saint Paul. My formal education also includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Southwest State University in Spanish and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Law Enforcement from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am also the proud graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
